What is the ES Certification? |
| The Education Specialist (ES) Certification allows resellers in Latin America to sell academically-priced Microsoft products to qualified educational users . This includes volume licenses through the Academic Open License and Campus / School Agreement programs. There is a certification process to become an ES. Once an ES, the authorization remains active for one year. A renewal process makes it easy to continue the authorization for the following year. |

Who can apply? |
| To qualify for the ES certification, your company must meet the following minimum requirements. |

Must be enrolled and active in the Microsoft Partner Program (MSPP) at least at Registered Level |
| 2_ |
If the organization is enrolled in MSPP in the Registered Member level, it must also be subscribed to the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS). Your company subscription must be active (not expired) at the time of application |

Provide two customer references of Microsoft or other technology products with valid contacts |
| 4_ |
Agree on sales objectives for the first year with Microsoft by submitting a Business Plan |
| 5_ |
All commercial representatives need to complete the web training and pass the certification tests |
| 6_ |
The company must have a line of credit with at least one of the Distributors listed in the ES program in good standing |

How to become an ES?
|

| |
The certification process is composed by three steps and both General Manager and Commercial Representatives are responsible for particular actions in the process: |

Complete the Business plan template with the information of each Commercial Representative and forecasted number of contracts to sell during the first year as an ES

Once the application is complete and submitted, all the information will be sent to the local Microsoft subsidiary, which should answer within 5 business days based on the validation of the minimum requirements. The company Administrator (General Manager) will receive an e-mail with the status of the application process. If the information you provide is inaccurate, incomplete or if Microsoft is unable to validate the information provided by you, your application could be rejected.

Commercial Representatives Application : Upon receiving e-mail notification, each Commercial Representative should enter on the ES Web Site signing in with their Passport accounts, review and accept the program certification rules and complete a short application form

ES Exam : All Commercial Representatives should complete the Exam, which is composed by three modules covering Fundamentals of Licensing, Principles of Licensing and Academic Licensing (revision materials are provided. After completing all three exams modules successfully, the General Manager will receive a confirmation e-mail with the acceptance in the ES program along with the ES certification. The electronic certificate can be printed and displayed to customers. The certificate will contain a unique ES certification number that should be retained and quoted to the distributor when purchasing Microsoft academic products.
The manager will be able to log on the site and check the company's status during the entire process.
